Engineering Macromolecular Self-Assembly for Challenges in NanoBiotechnology |
초록 |
Self-assembly is exploited as a guiding principle in producing nanostructured materials. I will address the challenges present in nanobiotechnology by taking advantages of the self-assembled polymeric nanostructures. The first part of the talk will introduce the complementary self-assembly of block copolymers with inorganic nanoparticles as a means to bridging nanomaterials with biotechnology. In particular, inorganic nanoparticles are integrated with the amphiphilic block copolymers and used as recyclable enzyme supports and biological labels. The second part of the talk will illustrate the hierarchical self-assembly of polymeric thin films as a universal protocol to form hybrid nanostructures on the surface. Layer-by-layer assembly is particularly employed for the potential biomedical applications such as therapeutic surface coatings and transdermal vaccination patches. |
