Polymer has been studied as a material such as automobiles and home appliances because of the advantage that it is light and can be processed at low temperature compared to metal. However, the wear characteristics have been required for the application to replace the metal. Potassium Titanate (PT) has excellent wear performance, but the mechanical properties are not good, there has been a limitation in the application. And silica has been widely used to improve mechanical properties, but it has been known that the improvement effect is not better than PT in terms of wear performance. In this study, in order to simultaneously use resistance of PT and mechanical properties of silica, PT and silica were chemically combined and then checked for bonding through FR-IR and XRD. The mechanical properties will be evaluated and the wear characteristics will be checked using a wear tester, the morphology of the wear surface will be confirmed by using the FE-SEM. |
