Bioenergy generation using photosynthetic microbial fuel cells |
초록 |
The development of novel green and sustainable energy technology with reduced negative impact on the environment is critical. The essential feature of the light-assisted-microbial fuel cells (MFCs) system is the integration of photoelectric conversion into conventional microbial electricity generation. In an MFC, the catalytic activities of microorganisms involved in the conversion of the chemical energy in the biomass to electrical energy are essential. The algae cathode is the most thoroughly researched material to date and has attracted considerable interest because it is a promising and recyclable renewable energy source. The integrated approach for sustainable conversion of wastewater to electricity through photo-MFCs can have large-scale applications.
