Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of a low-bandgap Diketopyrrolopyrrole-based Donor-Acceptor Copolymer |

In recent years, extensive investigations on design and synthesis of narrow band gap polymers have been the major attractive area due to their unique optoelectronic properties. Diketopyrrolopyrrole unit bearing two fused electron-deficient lactams was recognized as an efficient building block combining with p-type monomers for designing the low bandgap alternating copolymer. In the study, we synthesized new low bandgap alternating copolymers containing DPP and aromatic or fused heteroaromatic ring monomers and characterized their photovoltaic properties. We fabricated polymer solar cells with well-known PCBM and the device properties were investigated in detail. |
