제목 Synthesis and investigation of Anion Exchange Membranes with Dynamic Redox-Responsive Properties
초록 Recently, anion exchange materials (AEM), which regarded as one of the promising electrolytes for energy storage systems and electrochemical applications, have gained great attention. Despite this interest, durability of AEMs by various radicals are major concern in electrochemical application. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is derived from the hypothesis that radical scavenger can conquer the shortcomings of AEMs. Herein, poly(phenylene oxide) containing a quaternary ammonium group were synthesized by in-situ quaternization using N,N,2,2,6,6-Hexamethylpiperidin-4-amine, and accorded a non-conjugated radical via oxidation. Specifically, to confirm a radical site in synthesized ionomer, we measured electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The electrochemical properties of the synthesized ionomers was detected by cyclic voltammetry (CV), and confirmed the chemical reversibility of synthesized AEM.
