Isothermal crystallization of PHBHx using IRRAS and 2D-COS |

Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) (PHBHx) is one of biodegradable polymers. It is widely studied as a potential substitute for petroleum-based thermoplastics. To explore isothermal crystallization mechanism under ambient condition of PHBHx with different 3-Hx molar fraction, infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRRAS) and two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) were used. Details on the results of isothermal crystallization of PHBHx using IRRAS and 2D-COS will be discussed in this presentation. |
