The tert-butoxycarbonyl (t-BOC) protected aniline heptamer diamine was polymerized with 1,12-diisocyanatododecane, resulting in a multi-block polymer containing oligoaniline blocks with urea moieties. It was found that deprotection of t-BOC groups led to crystallization of polymer chains in the bulk state as well as the thin film state. Furthermore, the multi block polymer, which was doped with camphorsulfonic acid (CSA), had different crystals with various CSA molar ratio. The analyses of the polymer structures, after deprotection of t-BOC groups and doping with an organic acid, were carried out using small/wide angle X-ray scattering (SAXS/WAXS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). |
