Surface tension and foam properties of several surfactant solutions with diol |
초록 |
This study has a purpose to investigate the correlation between surface tension and foam properties of several surfactant solutions with diol. The effect of diol is lowering surface tension and increasing foamability of surfactants. Generally, surface tension and foamability are Inversely proportional but the correlation slightly varies based on the critical micelle concentration(CMC). The surfactants examined were Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), Tween 20 and Cetrimonium bromide (CTAB). Measurement of Surface tension is performed by K10ST surface tensiometer using du nouy ring method and DFA 100 dynamic foam analyzer is used to know properties of foam. Typical foam properties are foamability and foam stability.
