Crosslinkable polyimide with allyl side chain. |

Recently, there is a development of plastic substrates which are replaced with glass substrates as display substrates and polyimide is one of candidate of flexible substrate. There are many researches for introduction of fluorine moiety, ether linkage or alicyclic structure for reveal colorless property of polyimide by disturbing charge transfer complex formation. But they have drawbacks such as poor chemical resistance and high thermal expansion property. In this study, we investigated polyimide having double bond as cross-linker for reducing CTE value and improving chemical resistance. We prepared polyimide with 6-FDA as the anhydride monomer and diamine having cross-linker(e.g. allyl, vinyl groups). The chemical structure of synthesized diamine was confirmed by 1H-NMR analysis. Crosslinking profile was investigated with DSC, FT-IR spectroscopy and solubility test. Thermal crosslinking among the double bonds of polymer leads to reduction of CTE value and good chemical resistance. |
