Electrospun Nanoporous Carbon fibers for Hydrogen Storage |
초록 |
Electrospinning is a technique that produces sub-micron sized continuous fibers by electric force from polymer solution or melt. Due to the versatile manufacturability and cost effectiveness, this method has been recently adopted for the fabrication of one-dimensional materials. Here, we fabricated polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers from which uniform nanoporous carbon fibers with the diameter 100-200 nm were obtained after carbonization in H2O+Ar. In particular, the increase of water vapor injection time leads to the geometrical growth of the amount of nano-sized pores. The morphologies and the microstructure were observed by SEM and TEM. XPS and Raman spectroscopy were also used to identify the surface composition and the degree of carbonization. Temperature programmed reduction spectroscopy were performed in hydrogen atmosphere in order to measure for hydrogen adsorption quantities. |
