In this work, we prepared the carbons molecular seives (CMS) by templating method using silicaous zeolite as a template, with different carbonization temperatures. The microstructure of the samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements. N2/77K adsorption isotherms were analyzed by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) plot methods to characterize specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution of the samples. The capacity of hydrogen adsorption of the samples was evaluated by BEL-HP at 77 K/1 bar. From the results, it was found that the hydrogen storage capacity correlated well with the micropore volume determined by applying D-R equation on N2 adsorption isotherms showing the importance of ultra-micropores. |
