Since the electro-catalytic reaction occurs at the TPB that is the interface between the electronic conductor(Ni), ionic conductor(Samaria doped Ceria; SDC), the triple boundary phase(TPB) is important in the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). The present work investigated the preparation of porous NiO-SDC for easy diffusion of gaseous reactants and increasing the length of TPB by using the cationic surfactant(cetylmethyltriammonium bromide; CTAB) as a pore-forming agent. The prepared material was characterized by XRD, SEM FIB(Focused Ion Beam System) and nitrogen adsorption. The surface area of porous NiO-SDC is higher than others prepared different methods. In addition, the nitrogen adsorption isotherm was type Ⅳ and the porous NiO-SDC could be applicable to the anode of SOFC. |
