Potential performance as a targeted antitumoral therapy using dihydroxyflavone-conjugated hyaluronic acid nanogels |

We prepared Hyaluronic acid (HA)-based nanogels conjugated with Dihydroxyflavone (DHF) and evaluated their cellular uptake and antitumoral efficiency. HA-based DHF nanogels bound to the CD44 receptor can transfer 7,8-dihydroxyflavone to tumor cells through hydrolysis in low pH cancer cell environments. The size of the HA-based DHF nanogel was about 90 nm. We used HepG2, HeLa cells that overexpress the CD44 receptors. NIH3T3 was used as a control cell. In cytotoxicity analysis, HA-based DHF nanogel showed higher tumor cell death than control cell. These results show that our nanogel are valuable for cancer targeting drug delivery. |
