Preparation and characterization of cross-linked sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) composite membranes with sulfonated mesoporous material. |

Cross-linkable sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (csPEEK)/mesoporous benzene-silica(MBS) electrolyte membrane were prepared using a solvent casting method. The direct synthesis of SPEEK provided the opportunity to control the Degree of Sulfonation (DS) by adjusting the molar ratio of sulfonated to nonsulfonated difluorodiphenylketone monomer. csPEEK and MBS were mixed in N,N-dimethyl aceteamide up to 20wt% of sulfonated mesoporous benzene-silica powder. Proton conductivity, water uptake, and thermal stability were investigated to evaluate the properties of the obtained cross-linked membranes for fuel cell application. |
