In this study, we synthesized mesoporous silica powder and film with well ordered structure and modified mesoporous silica surface with aminosilane successfully. Then, Eu complex was formed in the modified mesoporous silica. The structure of mesoporous silica was fully characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns, transmission electron micrograph (TEM) image, and nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms. The successful incorporation of aminosilane was verified by FT-IR spectra. UV-visible spectra and fluorescence spectra were measured to verify the special optical properties of the Eu incorporated mesoporous silica. These properties show the possibility of the application of Eu incorporated mesoporous silica as an optical device. |
