제목 |
Drag reduction capability, mechanism of the transparent SLIPS(slippery liquid infused porous surfaces) structure. |
초록 |
Bioinspired-superhydrophobic surface(i.e Lotus-effect) has offerd a lot of benefits to solve the technical issues. However, Functionality of such surface was easily receding when attacked by external factofs and exposed by oil. Futhermore, Transmittance was significantly decreased by the nano particles on the substrates which lead to scatter the light. To reduce these drawbacks, slippery liquid infused porous surfaces(SLIPS) were fabricated on the glass substrate by spraying the silicon dioxide powder dispersed in ethyl alcohol, followed by infiltration by lubricant. The characteristics of as-fabricated SLIPS were studied by the contact angle analyzer, UV-vis. In addition to the inherent properties, We evaluate the drag reduction capability by passing the ball coated with silicon dioxide, lubricant through the long tube filled with water. Based on the results, the application of SLIPS was discussed. |
