Nanocellulose is one of the most abundant polymeric materials available from biomass and has recently been widely regarded as an eco-friendly manufacturing technology and a high-performance new material because of its advantageous formability. Existing generation biomass contains a large amount of lignin so that the process time is prolonged, the chemical used in the treatment process is poor in environmental and the cost is high. On the other hand, the third-generation biomass seaweed has a relatively low lignin content, so more competitive n terms of growth time and cultivation area. This study thus focuses on the development of the most effective new process for extracting nanocellulose from industrial seaweed. The extracted cellulose combines polymers to give new directions to the manufacture of bio-plastics. |
