제목 Sterilization of E. coli by TiO2-coated POF
초록 The photocatalytic sterilization of Escherichia coli(ATCC No. 8739) in water was investigated by using TiO2-coated plastic optical fiber(POF). The TiO2 colloidal solution was prepared by hydrothermal method, which was coated on the POF removed clad by the dip-coating method. The hydrothermal synthesis without a calcinations step complements a weak point which POF doesn’t have heat-resistance to be deformed at high temperature. Clad layer was removed each by using sandpaper and acetone solution and analyzed by SEM.The highest bactericidal conditions were obtained from removed clad by using acetone solution and the hydrothermal TiO2 dip-coated on POF 3-times.
