Since the first report of ordered mesoporous silica, there have been extensive researches on the syntheses of ordered mesoporous materials with various pore structures, framework compositions and morphologies for the targeted applications. The main advantage of the ordered mesoporous materials lies on the highly accessible, regular, and large mesopores. In the present work, the synthesis of mesoporous materials, constructed with transition metal oxides and carbon, and the utilization of such the nanostructured materials for energy applications, such as Li-battery and fuel cell, will be discussed. |
