Influence of LiF interlayer on power conversion efficiency in polymer heterojunction Photovoltaics |

In organic optoelectronic devices, electrical optimization and stable metallic contacts have be important issue. Metallic contacts require low energy barrier height for efficient charge collection. Generally, Ca or Mg of low work function materials are unstable because of oxidation. A relatively stable metal,Al has higher work function but by inserting an interlayer, such as LiF, effective charge collection is realized. We investigated the influence of LiF interlayer on the PCE(power conversion efficiency) in bulk heterojunction photovoltaics. Also, the effect of LiF interlayer thickness on PCE has been examined. As a result, we obtained a bulk heterojunction photovoltaics having PCE of 2.19% with 1nm-thick LiF interlayer. |
