제목 Continuous MEO Process: The Study on Electrochemical Cell Characteristics and Model Fitting to Organic Oxidation
초록 Electrochemical cells of various electrode materials and geometries were constructed and their performances for electrochemical regeneration of Ce(IV), which is essential for a continuous mediated-electrochemical-oxidation (MEO) process, were studied. Volt-amperic curves and cerium(III) electrolysis data conformed “limiting current” approach for anodic process. A new model is proposed to calculate a cerium consumption current in organic destruction MEO process and a number of “standard” cells for maintaining cerium(III)/cerium(IV) ratio at the same level. The model is based on a limiting current approach for cerium(III) oxidation at anode and previously derived by us continuous mode organic destruction model. Additionally cerium oxidation current was corrected by oxygen evolution.
