제목 Neutron Reflectivity Study of Interfacial Thickness between deutrated PS & Grafted PS layer with Varied Molecular Weight
초록 The interfacial interactions between polymer thin films and substrate are the key parameter for determining thermal behaviors of polymer thin films. In this study, we investigated the interfacial roughness of substrate/ polymer layer arising from grafted polymer layers with same chemical identity. Varied molecular weight of hydroxyl-terminated polystyrene (PSOH) were used to control surface interfacial interaction of substrate, and deutrated polystyrene was coated on the substrates for neutron reflectivity measurement. The neutron reflectivity measurement was conducted in SOFIA reflectometer at materials and life science experimental facility, J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex). After neutron reflectivity measurement, we calculated the interfacial thickness from the measured data. We will discuss the interfacial roughness in terms of inter-penetration depth, and compare with previous results from our research group for glass and de-wetting transitions.
