The Pluronic triblock copolymers form various nanostructures including micellar structures above CMC and show excellent phase behaviors in aqueous solution. The self-assembled structure of block copolymers easily transforms into other structure by various interactions such as hydrophobic or electrostatic interactions and their phase behaviors depending on the chain length of block copolymers is very different. In addition, the Pluronic block copolymer is highly biocompatible. Therefore, the Pluronic block copolymers have been of great interests in a wide range of potential applications such as nanosized building blocks, templates for nanostructures, or drug delivery in nano or bio related research field. However, under various external interactions, the self-assembly of Pluronic block copolymer depending on the chain length has not been fully exploited yet. Here the phase behaviors of Pluronic polymers with different chain lengths have been investigated using small angle scattering. |
