Phase Behaviors of Pluronic Block Copolymers Induced by Adding Organic Derivative |
초록 |
Pluronic triblock copolymers, which are one of amphiphilic molecules containing a polyethylene oxide (PEO) and a polypropylene (PPO), form various micellar structures above CMC and exhibit excellent phase behaviors in aqueous solution. Furthermore, the phase behavior of Pluronic block copolymer can be easily controlled by the external conditions such additives, temperature, or pH, and they are highly biocompatible. Thus, Pluronic block copolymers have a broad spectrum of potential applications in nano and bio science. However, since the Pluronic block copolymer has different physical properties depending on the molecular weight or the relative chain length between PEO and PPO, their phase behavior has not been fully exploited yet under various external conditions. Here the phase behaviors of Pluronic block copolymers under various external conditions have been investigated using small angle scattering. |
