제목 New kinds of 2-dimensional materials for multi-functional sensor applications: Nb3I8, Nb4P2S21, and 2D-Tellulium
초록 Researches of two-dimensional (2D) materials, beginning with the discovery of graphene, have yielded the discovery of many new 2D materials, including transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), hexagonal boron nitride, and black phosphorous, with many potential applications. Graphene has many excellent physical properties (high carrier mobility, mechanical strength, etc.) but also the fatal disadvantage of difficulty in bandgap formation (bandgaps can be formed in graphene by fabricating nanoribbons, but large-area production of uniform widths is difficult). Due to these properties, graphene has been mainly used as a conductor and protective film of 2D devices. However, TMDCs and black phosphorus have bandgaps suitable for electronic devices (~1 eV), but their carrier mobilities are one-tenth to one-hundredth of that of conventional Si. The problems of such newly studied 2D materials require the discovery of alternative 2D materials (semiconductors, conductors, and insulators). In this work, we will introduce new kinds of 2D materials (Nb3I8, Nb4P2S21, and 2D-Tellulium) for the application of multi-functional sensor such as light (infrared) and gas. Finally want to share the information of new kinds of 2D materials.
