제목 Metal-Induced Self-Assembly of Chelating Double-Hydrophilic Block-Copolymers for Morphology-Reculated Nanostructures and Enhanced Functionality
초록 We have prepared a series of double-hydrophilic block-copolymers composed of poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(acrylic acid), synthesized via controlled radical polymerizations, which can then be employed to incorporate the functional metal elements.  The metal-coordination to the chelating PAA blocks then led to the formation of self-assembled metal/polymer hybrid nanostructures, possessing the hydrodynamic size range of 30-100 nm in aqueous media.  Mn2+- and Eu3+-conjugated nanoparticles exhibited highly enhanced magnetic longitudinal relaxivity and fluorescence emission property, respectively, over those of small-molecule complexes, while the square planar PtII coordination led to the  dramatic morphology change from core/shell spheres to enclosing vesicles via highly anisotropic pearl-string structures.  In this presentation, the relevant physicochemical functionality of metal-incorporated nanostructures will be discussed.
