Oxidation- and temperature-responsive polymers composed of hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) and Phenyl vinyl sulfide (PVS) were polymerized by free radical reaction. The HEA-PVS polymers were qualitatively analyzed by UV spectrum and quantitative analysis was performed by 1HNMR. Lower critical solution temperature (LCST) was confirmed by the turbidity change of the polymer solution depending on the temperature. Critical micelle concentration (CMC) was measured by surface tension of polymer. Polymeric micelles were prepared by thin film method. The morphology of polymeric micelle was observed on transmission electron microscope. The release of Nile red (fluorescence dye) loaded polymeric micelles was investigated at different hydrogen peroxide concentration (i.e. 0, 0.5, and 10%) and temperature (i.e. 25, 37, and 45 ℃) for 24 h. |
