제목 Strain Induced Crystallization and Orientation Retardation of High-Speed Melt Spun PET and PET/Additive Fibers.
초록 In this work, we attempted to increase the spinning speed in the production of PET fibers by introducing small amount of additives to PET. Our attention was primarily directed to the morphological structure, mechanical properties and rheological behaviors of PET fibers containing additives as a function of spinning speed. The morphological structure and mechanical properties of PET/additive fibers containing different amount of additives spun at various winding speeds (2500-6000m/min) were characterized by small and wide angle X-ray scattering techniques in conjunction with infra-red spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC), density measurements and stress-strain tester. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in the orientation and strain-induced crystallization of PET/additive yarns as compared to those of pristine PET/additive yarn winded at the same velocity. Also, the orientation-retardation effect by additives was enhanced with the increase of additive content. When comparing the PET/additive yarn spun at 5000m/min (containing 0.7wt% of additive) with the pristine PET yarn spun at 3200m/min, both yarns showed the good spinnability and nearly the same values of orientation parameter, crystallinity, and mechanical properties.
