Studies on enhanced cycling performances of tin-based anode with polyimides as binders for lithium and sodium ion batteries |
초록 |
Sodium ion batteries have been studied due to low cost of sodium and wide availability as compared to lithium ion batteries. Tin-based anode is promising anode of NIB owing to high capacity. Theoretical capacity of tin is 992 mAh/g, which is twice higher than that of graphitic carbon. But, tin has a major disadvantage of enormous volume change. This problem led to irreversible capacity loss and poor cyclability. Therefore, the role of binder is very critical to maintain electrode structure and to achieve cyclability. We have synthesized polyimides and used as binders. The anode electrodes were prepared by binders such as PVDF and polyimides, and tin-based active materials. The electrochemical performances such as initial capacity, C-rate, and cyclability were investigated and the morphology of electrodes was confirmed by field emission scanning electron microscopy. Polyimides synthesized in this work have showed improved cyclability and the further results will be discussed in detail. |
