Characterization of Mg-doped Na0.6Ni0.3-xMgxTi0.7O2 as Anode Material for Sodium Ion Battery |
초록 |
Since lithium-ion batteries (LIB) were successfully commercialized, it became crucial part of today’s technology as a power source of mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Recently, researchers are interested in next generation of rechargeable batteries due to increasing demand of LIB and limited lithium source. Sodium-ion batteries (SIB) have received great interest because of operating mechanism with LIB, lower cost, and abundance of sodium source. Although many studies reported characteristics and performance of layered oxides as cathode materials for SIB, relatively less studies have been reported layered oxides as anode materials of SIB. In this research, characteristics and performance of Mg-doped Na0.6Ni0.3-xMgxTi0.7O2 are studied in order to understand role of Mg dopant on structure stability and electrochemical performance. The high resolution X-ray diffraction (XRD) shows little difference between as-synthesized materials regardless of Mg-dopant. But Mg-doped material, Na0.6Ni0.25Mg0.05Ti0.7O2, shows improved electrochemical performance and relatively stable structure during first discharge in-situ XRD results. |
