Stable emulsions [solid content: 30 wt%, soft-segment content: 56 wt%] of emulsifier-/N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP)-free waterborne polyurethane-acrylic (WBPU/AC) hybrids with a fixed acrylic monomer content (35 wt%) and different molar ratios (mole%) of ethylene diamine (EDA)/1,4-butandiol (BD) (0/10, 2/8, 4/6, 6/4, 8/2, 10/0 molar ratio) were successfully prepared. This study focused on the effects of molar ratio of EDA/BD on the stability and viscosity of hybrid emulsions, the tensile properties/dynamic mechanical thermal properties, surface contact angles/tension and hardness/water swelling of WBPU/AC hybrid film materials.
