제목 Nitrogen and phosphorus recovery from anaerobic digestate of food waste by struvite precipitation.
초록 Struvite (MgNH4PO4·6H2O) production is a useful technique to remove phosphorus and nitrogen from wastewater. Struvite also processes a potential to be used as a slowly releasing fertilizer. The anaerobic food waste digestate containing high concentrations of phosphorus and ammonium can be a source of struvite. In this study, optimal conditions for phosphorus removal and struvite recovery were obtained by using response surface analysis with the central composite design. The maximum phosphorus removal efficiency and recovered concentration of struvite were 99.98% and 0.56 g/L respectively, at the conditions of pH 9.53, Mg/P molar ratio of 1.35, and Ca/P molar ratio of 0.92. Purity of obtained struvite was 77.8%, and it was thought that re-crystallization could raise the purity for a high-quality product. Supported by grants from COWEB (Project No.:2013001580002)
