The new type of polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS) based hybrid material was successfully synthesized by mixing hexafluorobutylmethacrylate (HFMA) with tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) by sol-gel technique in three stages. The resultant hybrid films fabricated on the glass substrate by spin-coating method were transparent. The molecular structure, functional groups, and surface morphology of the hybrid materials were characterized by 1H-NMR, FTIR, and HRSEM. Their mechanical properties and hydrophobic/oleophobic characteristics were measured by pencil hardness test and drop shape analysis system, respectively. Writing and erasing test on the hybrid films were performed using water and oil based pens. |
