Mode of antibiotic action and their antibacterial activity on the bacterial membrane of the peptides with an influence of alternating pattern of K and W residues |
초록 |
The antibacterial peptides need to develop that are non resistant to the rapid emergency of bacterial infections. Further increasing cationic and hydrophobicity in the scrambled peptide was demonstrated to correlate with peptide beta sheet and self associating ability in aqueous environment. Thepeptides kill the bacteria by membrane disruption was evaluated through membrane potential depolarization assay, membrane permeability. Interaction of these peptides with model liposomes vesicles was examined using tryptophan fluorescence.This study was supported by IPET(Korea Institute of planning & Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries) Research Fund in 2009. |
