Advanced Manufacturing Method of Glass fiber-CNT/Epoxy Prepreg and Composites |

Manufacturing process of nanocomposites was difficult because of the dispersion, shape of nanoparticle and interfacial condition. This research tried to solve problems during manufacturing nanocomposites. Sheet molding composites were producted using CNT coated prepreg. Uniform dispersion CNT solution was based on spray coated on epoxy prepreg. FE-SEM, UV and surface resistance measurement were evaluated for CNT coated prepreg. Mechanical and interfacial properties of CNT coated nanocomposites were improved than CNT/epoxy composites. CNT was embedded in epoxy and fiber surface, because CNT dispersion solution etched the surface of epoxy prepreg.
