For light emitting diodes, it is one of the important factors that narrow emission spectrum of full width at half-maximum(FWHM), which determines the color purity. Therefore, we suggest a hydrogen halide (HX; X=Cl, Br, and I)-mediated method for synthesizing perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) and confirmed high color purity and compositional uniformity. This is a method through halide anion exchange, and this reaction does not have Pb impurity by using volatile HX. Also, it exhibits a single photoluminescent (PL) peak. In contrast, we confirmed that PNCs by the conventional hot-injection method had metallic Pb/PbBr2 impurities and exhibited multiple PL peaks. As a result, we can obtain the compositionally uniform PNCs produced by the HX-mediated method and confirm the narrow emission spectra at the blue, green, and red EL devices. |
