초록 | A molecular-thermodynamic model is developed to describe the binary globular-protein precipitation. The protein molecules interact through four intermolecularpotentials. An equation of state, which is based on the statistical mechanical perturbationtheory, included the equation proposed by Chiew et al. as the reference system of thefluid phase. As the reference term of the solid phase, the equation proposed by Younget al. is introduced in the same way. The perturbation term is based on theprotein-protein interaction potentials. The equation of state provides an expression forthe chemical potential of each protein and determines the fluid-solid equilibria of proteinmixtures. The phase separation behaviors are investigated by the pressure-compostiondiagrams with changing ionic strength. |
