Mixtures of conjugated polymers and fullerene derivative (PCBM) command considerable attention for application in organic solar cells. In order to improve their efficiency, the design of new materials that absorb at longer wavelengths (or low band gab) is of substantial interest. We synthesis and characterize new copolymers base on 2-pyran-4-ylidenemalononitrile and dialkoxy-divinylbenzene to get low band gap and high Voc. A series of copolymers with and 2-pyran-4-ylidene-malononitrile (PM) derivatives were synthesized successfully through the Heck coupling reaction. In this report, the optical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of the blend of new copolymers and PCBM will be discussed |
