제목 | Contribution of Electron Transport in Organic Photorefractive Materials |
초록 | The contribution of electron transport was studied in multi functional photorefractive polymers containing monolithic chromophores and polymeric composites based on newly synthesized bipolar transporting polymer host. The unipolar electron transporting and bipolar hole-electron transporting photorefracitve polymers were obtained by altering the structures of NLO chromophores, and the contribution of electron transport in grating build-up was confirmed by comparison with hole transporting polymer composite. Particularly, the high diffraction efficiency was obtained due to its monotonous rise and decay during FWM experiment in bipolar material, even though the quasi-oscillatory behavior of asymmetric energy transfer in the TBC experiment reduced the gain coefficients. This bipolar photorefraction could be explained based on single-species bipolar model. Since high optical gain is the origin of noise for diffraction-based application, this bipolar material possessing the high diffraction efficiency with negligible optical gain is regarded as a good candidate for diffraction based application of photorefractive materials. |
