제목 Study on the Optical Properties of Spiro-conjugated fluorene Compounds
초록 Spiro structure has been introduced into both fluorene based low molecular weight organic compounds and polymers to modify the steric demand of compounds to improve their processability and morphologic stability. However, there is no elucidation about the effect of spiro-structure on optical properties of compounds. We report on the effects of the spiro structure on optical properties of fluorene based compounds. Fluorene dimer and trimer were synthesized to compare optical properties with spirobifluorene dimer and polyspirobifluorene with well-defined conjugation length of two fluorene units. The optical properties of the compounds were compared and showed considerable amount of differences between fluorene and spiro-fluorene compounds in both PL spectra and UV/Vis spectra.
