제목 Hydrogen Storage Behaviors of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes on Acid and Base Surface Treatments
초록 In this work, the hydrogen storage behaviors of surface functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) by acid and base treatments were studied. The surface functional groups and specific elements of the MWNTs were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), respectively. FT-IR and XPS results showed that the amount of oxygen functional groups increased on surface of the MWNTs after acid or base treatment. X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the change of the MWNTs in the crystalline phase and lattice distortions. The capacity of hydrogen storage of the MWNTs was investigated by BEL-HP at 298K/100 atm.
