제목 | Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene using Novel Macromonomers Having Various Molecular Weights of Poly(ethylene glycol) in Ethanol |
초록 | Bifunctional polyurethane-based telechelic macromonomers (BPTM) having a series of molecular weight are synthesized using poly(ethylglycol) (PEG), hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), and methacrylamide, or acrylamide. The synthesized macromonomers are employed in the dispersion polymerization of styrene and the effects of molecular weights and contents of the macromonomers on the properties of the PS particles are investigated. The structure and the concentration of the macromonomer affect the particle size, molecular weight, conversion, graft ratio, and glass transition temperature of PS. The conversion and average particle size of the PS increased with PEG molecular weights, and the conversion, average-diameter, average molecular weight and graft ratio of the PS particles increased with the macromonomer contents. |
