In this work, we have investigated the synthesis and characterization of functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles with modified biopolymer. The structure and surface properties of the mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSN) and modified biopolymer were studied by means of XRD, N2 adsorption/desorption (BET), TGA, UV–vis, FTIR and H’NMR spectroscopic techniques. The modified biopolymer was used as a gate keeper for MSN through amide bond using groups in alkyl chain. By considering the property of modified biopolymer, it is possible to be used as redox-responsive drug delivery system for targeted drug delivery applications |
