제목 Propyl urea functionalized MCM-41 materials for adsorption and release of three sulfa drug molecules: A comparative study
초록 Mesoporous Si-MCM-41was synthesised using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as template and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as silica source. The propyl urea functionality was introduced over MCM-41 (PU-MCM-41) by a post modification process using 1-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]urea (TMSPU). The formation of PU-MCM-41 was confirmed with 13C CP MAS NMR spectroscopy. The purity of the material and structural stability was evidenced from the analysis like powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen sorption isotherms (BET), scanning and transmission electron micrographs (SEM & TEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The adsorption ability of PU-MCM-41 towards sulfa drug molecules such as sulfadiazine, sulfamerazine and sulfamethazine were studied in details. Factors such as effect of pH, stirring time and initial drug concentration, and adsorbent amount were studied. The controlled release profile was also investigated in different pH medium.
