제목 In-situ observation for alumina dissolution behavior in electric furnace steelmaking slags
초록 The size of alumina particle in the premelted CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 slags during the time was observed using confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM) at high temperature (1673~1823K) in order to figure out the dissolution rate and mechanism of alumina. To prevent reaction between thermocouple and platinum crucible contained slags, Al2O3 holder was located on the platinum holder. The radius of alumina particle was calculated from the area of particle through image analyzer (image pro) on the assumption that the particle is a sphere.  
To clarify the dissolution mechanism of alumina, the dissolution rate of alumina was investigated during the time at various temperature. The proportion of Qn species in quenched amorphous slags were estimated by deconvolution with PeakFitTM 4.12 using Raman spectroscopy to figure out the effect of ionic structure (NBO/T) and polymeric unit (T-O-T; T=Al and SI) of slags on the dissolution behavior of alumina.
