제목 Acentric Quinolinium Crystals with Large Electro-Optic Response for THz Wave Generation
초록 We report on novel acentric organic quinolinium HMQ-T (2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxystyryl)-1-methylquinolinium 4-methylbenzenesulfonate), HMQ-MBS (2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxystyryl)-1-methylquinolinium 4-methoxybenzenesulfonate) and HMQ-NS (2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxystyryl)-1-methylquinolinium naphthalene-2-sulfonate) crystals with large macroscopic electro-optic response for THz wave generation. HMQ analogue crystals exhibit monoclinic space group symmetry Pn or Pc. Their crystal characteristics are investigated by solution growth methods with various solvents (for examples, methanol, ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, and dimethylformamide) and the solvent mixtures.
