제목 Thermal Stability and Thermal Conductivity of Polypropylene/ Polypropylene-Grafted MWCNT Composites
초록 Recently, polymer/CNT composites have attracted considerable attention because the individual properties of the two components can be combined to give novel hybrid nanomaterials with good mechanical strength, unique multifunctional properties. In this study, the polypropylene-grafted multi-walled carbon nanotubes (PP-MWNTs) were produced from the reaction of PP containing the hydroxyl groups and MWNTs having 2-bromoisobutyryl groups.PP/PP-MWNT composites and PP/MWNT composites were prepared by solution mixing in o-xylene. The thermal conductivity of PP/PP-MWNT composites was much higher than that of the pure PP and PP/MWNT composites even if only 1 wt% of PP-MWNTs was added to the PP matrix. The more detailed regarding the thermal stability and thermal conductivity of PP/PP-MWNT composites with different contents of PP-MWNT will be discussed.
