제목 | Light responsive liposome used as immune modulator for cancer immunotherapy |
초록 | Since delivery of anticancer drugs to biliary tract cancer is very limited, many studies have been conducted to overcome these problems. However, problems including enhancing therapeutic effects and nonspecific normal tissue damage of anticancer drugs remain challenges. In this study, the light response liposomes developed to enhance the therapeutic efficacy were loaded gemcitabine as anti-cancer drug. The release rate of gemcitabine from liposomes was improved approximately 2-fold compared to the non-laser irradiation group due to lipid destruction by reactive oxygen species generated from activated photosensitizers upon laser irradiation. These liposomes enter tumor tissue and increase drug release in cancer upon laser irradiation. In addition, liposomes that released the drug by light recruited various immune cells for effective anti-tumor immunotherapy against biliary tract cancer. These liposomes are expected to grow into new platforms for drug delivery systems and chemotherapy. |
