Mechanical Property and Durability of CNT/PVDF Composites Actuator by Electrospinning Method |

Interfacial and electrical durability of CNT/PVDF nanocomposites were investigated for sensor and actuator applications. CNT/PVDF nanocomposites specimen was fabricated using the electrospinning method. Mechanical properties of CNT/PVDF nanocomposites were investigated and compared as different electrospinning morphology of nanocomposites. Durability of CNT/PVDF nanocomposites was good for actuator application. With static contact angle measurement, surface energy and work of adhesion between CNT and PVDF were obtained to verify the correlation between durability and interfacial adhesion. The optimum actuation performance of CNT/PVDF specimen was measured by the displacement change using a laser displacement sensor. CNT/PVDF nanocomposites exhibited better performance as sensor and actuator, because of better nanostructures and inherent mechanical and electrical properties. |
