제목 Effects of organoclay dispersion on gas barrier property in QD-film
초록  Quantum dot (QD) display with color gamut comparable to OLED appears in the premium TV market. For QD film, QD dispersed in optical resin is sandwiched by barrier films to prevent oxygen and moisture penetration which cause QD degradation. We designed a microcapsule for encapsulating QD using of semi-crystalline polymers consisting of self-assembled stacks of 2 dimensional crystal planes. We confirmed that QD was well-dispersed and kept its quantum yield in the microcapsule. Because this microcapsule also provides gas barrier property in some extent, if we add gas barrier property on the optical resin, expensive barrier film can be unnecessary. Here we applied organoclay in the resin. Clay was exfoliated in several solvents and then mixed with the resin. Exfoliation was monitored by TEM, SEM, and XRD. Finally, we checked gas barrier property via photo-stability and high humidity test at high temperature.
